Szymańska, Anna
One of the basic variables used in the process of tariff calculation of premiums in motor hull liability insurance is the age of the insured. In this type of insurance offered by insurers operating on the Polish market, this variable is taken into account in the ratemaking by discounts and increases in assigned premium, known as the net premiums rates. The aim of this work is to propose a method of rate estimation of net premiums in the groups of the motor hull liability insurance portfolio of individuals created by the age of the insured. For the premium estimation one of the maximum likelihood models, called the Bühlmann-Straub model was used.; Jedną z podstawowych zmiennych taryfikacyjnych wykorzystywanych w procesie kalkulacji składki w ubezpieczeniach komunikacyjnych AC jest wiek ubezpieczonego. Do szacowania składki wykorzystano jeden z modeli teorii największej wiarygodności tzw. model Bűlmanna-Strauba.

Taking into consideration the weakness of the models based on discrimination function (Z-score) proposed by Altman within the conditions of polish economy some attempts were taken in the 90s to adjust these models to the reality of post-communist economy. The initial interest in the models of multivariate discriminant analysis was extended by logistic regression models and then also by neural networks and decision trees. In the recent years some attempts were also taken to apply models of the event history analysis. Rating models based on developed bankruptcy risk models are basic element in credit risk management. Paper focuses on the critical assessment of statistical methods applied and points out the advantages and disadvantages of various approaches toward the estimation of models. Empirical comparative analysis were conducted based on the sample of enterprises. The possible application of statistical models in credit risk assessment of enterprises (rating models) was pointed out.; Dostrzegając słabość modeli opartych na funkcji dyskryminacyjnej Z-score zaproponowanej przez Altmana w warunkach gospodarki polskiej podjęto w latach 90. próby dostosowania tych modeli do realiów gospodarki post-komunistycznej.

In this paper, we consider the problems related to the determining plan of the experiment performed according to the model of the chemical balance weighing design under additional assumption that the experimental errors are equally negatively correlated. This problem is studied from the point of view of D-optimality of such a design. We give new a construction method of D-optimal chemical balance weighing design and the list of possible experimental plans.; W pracy rozważamy problematykę związaną z wyznaczeniem planu eksperymentu wykonanego zgodnie z modelem chemicznego układu wagowego przy założeniu, że błędy pomiarów są jednakowo ujemnie skorelowane. Powyższe zagadnienie rozważamy z punktu widzenia D-optymalności. Podajemy nową metodę konstrukcji D-optymalnego chemicznego układu wagowego oraz listę proponowanych planów eksperymentu.

High accuracy of results is a very important aspect in any clustering problem t determines the effectiveness of decisions based on them. Therefore, literature proposes methods and solutions that aim to give more accurate and stable results than traditional clustering algorithms (e.g. k-means or hierarchical methods). Cluster ensembles (Leisch 1999; Dudoit, Fridlyand 2003; Hornik 2006; Fred, Jain 2002) or the distance clustering method (Ben-Israel, Iyigun 2008) are the examples of such solutions. Here, we carry out an experimental study to compare the accuracy of these two approaches.; Stosowanie metod taksonomicznych w jakimkolwiek zagadnieniu grupowania wymaga jednocześnie zapewnienia wysokiej dokładności wyników podziału.
