Ekonometryczna identyfikacja β konwergencji regionów szczebla NUTS 2 Państw Unii Europejskiej

Abstract

The objective of the hereby article is econometric analysis of β unconditional and conditional convergence processes in NUTS-2 level regions of the European Union member countries. The analysis was conducted for all regions jointly, as well as within the groups of regions distinguished with regard to the level of regional development. The analysis includes factors resulting from the construction of the extended Solow model (Mankiw-Romer-Weil model). The results of estimation obtained on the basis of data panel system GMM estimator were used in order to evaluate convergence processes.
