Abstract

Many aspects of our lives were created in the industrial age, and in the digital era need to change. Work is perhaps the one that will change the most. The author tries to follow the concept of work as process, proposing to think of work as a mean of communication which could be understandable or not, calling the two types “civilized” and “barbaric”. He claims that classifications of work drawn from the XIXth century are no longer valid in the XXIst. As an example of how “work as process” seems “barbaric” he follows how work of “unprofessional” theater groups is often misunderstood.
