Publikacje z rzymskiej oficyny alla Pace i ich wpływ na sztukę polską XVIII wieku – stan badań i perspektywy badawcze

Abstract

Artykuł podejmuje problematykę roli druków z rzymskiej oficyny alla Pace w rozpowszechnianiu wzorów formalnych sztuki barokowej na terenach dawnej Rzeczpospolitej. Choć wpływ włoskich traktatów architektonicznych i wzorników był przedmiotem studiów, w literaturze przedmiotu brak – pomimo istniejących postulatów – analizy dzieł pochodzących z konkretnych oficyn wydawniczych.Przedstawienie działalności oficyny prowadzonej przez rodzinę de’ Rossich oraz omówienie stanu badań nad recepcją ich publikacji w Rzeczpospolitej zwraca uwagę na potrzebę ujęcia problemu w szerszym kontekście edukacji artystycznej, kolekcjonerstwa czy procesów dystrybucji i cyrkulacji tych druków – celem lepszego poznania nie tylko mechanizmów transferu artystycznego, ale i całej kultury druku dawnej Rzeczypospolitej.

This article addresses the role of prints from the Roman publishing house alla Pace in disseminating formal patterns of Baroque art in the former Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth. Although the influence of Italian architectural treatises and pattern books has been studied, the literature on the subject lacks – despite existing demands – an analysis of works from specific publishing houses.The presentation of the activities of the publishing house run by the de’ Rossi family and a discussion of the state of research on the reception of their publications in the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth highlight the need to approach this issue within the broader context of artistic education, collecting, and the processes of distribution and circulation of these prints – in order to better understand not only the mechanisms of artistic transfer but also the entire print culture of the former Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth.
