| dc.description.abstract | The subject of this study is the knightly court as an element of the settlement structure in the former Duchy of Bytom. This is undoubtedly a challenging subject, requiring a comprehensive approach based on the analysis and juxtaposition of numerous sources, primarily historical and archaeological. Contemporary humanities research often requires an interdisciplinary approach, open to the possibilities offered by other fields, including those in the field of technical sciences. Therefore, the work draws on both the current state of knowledge in the field of historical sciences and the achievements of modern technology, including specialized results obtained during the study of archaeological sites and monuments. The author intends the "multidisciplinarity" emphasized in the title to be a tool for developing a more plausible picture of the past. | pl_PL |

W 2003 roku ukończyłem kierunek Archeologia w Instytucie Archeologii Uniwersytetu Łódzkiego. W czasie studiów i po ich zakończeniu brałem udział w wyprzedzających badaniach archeologicznych przy dużych inwestycjach budowlanych na terenie Polski i Czech, m.in. przy budowie nowego pola górniczego kopalni węgla brunatnego Bełchatów, autostrady A1 w Polsce Centralnej, czy też dużego centrum handlowego Palladium, położonego w sercu czeskiej Pragi.
Następnie w latach 2007-2018 pracowałem jako asystent/adiunkt w Dziale Archeologii Muzeum w Gliwicach. Przez kilkanaście lat pracy w zawodzie archeologa prowadziłem lub współprowadziłem wiele prac archeologicznych, badań wykopaliskowych, a także tzw. nadzorów archeologicznych przy różnych inwestycjach na terenie Górnego Śląska. Mam doświadczenie zarówno w prowadzeniu tego typu prac w terenie, a także późniejszym opracowaniu materiałów i publikacji ich wyników. Jestem autorem ponad 70 publikacji naukowych dotyczących przede wszystkim archeologii terenu Górnego. Śląska, przede wszystkim archeologii przestrzeni miejskiej. Brałem również udział w licznych konferencjach, seminariach i sympozjach naukowych, gdzie prezentowałem wyniki moich prac w referatach czy posterach tematycznych. | pl_PL |
