Monografia Polacy w podróży po pandemii. Motywacje, uwarunkowania i wzorce aktywności turystycznej stanowi pogłębioną analizę międzynarodowej mobilności turystycznej mieszkańców Polski w momencie przełomu – pomiędzy okresem sprzed pandemii COVID-19 a fazą odbudowy sektora turystycznego. Szczególne miejsce w monografii zajmuje porównanie lat 2019 i 2023, symbolizujących odpowiednio „stary” i „nowy” porządek mobilności turystycznej, a także osadzenie wyników w szerszym kontekście Unii Europejskiej.
The monograph Poles Travelling after the Pandemic. Motivations, Determinants and Patterns of Tourism Activity provides an in-depth analysis of the international tourism mobility of Polish residents at a critical turning point between the pre-COVID-19 period and the recovery phase of the tourism sector. The aim of the study is not only to identify changes in the scale and directions of outbound travel but above all to understand the mechanisms determining these changes. The analysis is based on representative individual-level microdata from the survey “Participation of Polish Residents in Travel (PKZ)” conducted by Statistics Poland, which have not previously been used in such a broad analytical framework. The application of advanced statistical methods – including logistic regression, decision trees, and multilevel models – made it possible to conduct a multidimensional assessment of the differentiation of tourism activity among Polish residents, taking into account socio-demographic characteristics, travel purpose, length of stay, and modes of trip organisation. A key element of the monograph is the comparison of 2019 and 2023, representing respectively the ‛old’ and the ‛new’ order of tourism mobility, as well as the positioning of the results within the broader context of the European Union. The findings indicate an increasing selectivity of outbound travel and the persistence of mobility inequalities under conditions of growing socio-economic uncertainty. The monograph makes a significant contribution to research on the post-pandemic transformation of tourism, offering both scientific insight and practical recommendations for tourism policy and strategic sectoral planning.  pl_PL
