he article presents the possible impact of ICT development on resources of
knowledge, human capital mobility and on the creation of innovation especially in the
context of metropolisation processes and new metropolis-region relations in the
information economy. The article also includes the results of analysis regarding spatial
distribution of human capital between six Polish metropolis and their regions.
