Ирония и её роль в становлении нового времени

Abstract

At the early stage of the formation of European novel (since the books by Rabelais and Cervantes as well as the Spanish picaresque) irony as a literary device played very important role in the development of the genre. In the article the main attention is paid to some concrete eźamples of ironys effect in the early novel. The creation of ironical situation and ironical discourse led to the 'dialogisation" (in Bakhtinian sense) of the novels word and its 'interior world.
