Streszczenie
The entrance of a child in the role of a pupil from the first class means a radical change of a child's life situation and the necessity of adaptation oneself to the new conditions. A teacher creates an active adaptation to the new changes and he claims that a model of education is based on honest diagnosis of a child. A contemporary approach to diagnosis can be defined as holistic and dynamic. The whole diagnosis (holistic) is always formulated in environmental context. Through the diagnosis we can understand a process of active search and data processing which can be used to determine activities that contribute to change of the current condition. The appropriate holistic diagnosis requires efficacious selection of methods of diagnostic proceedings and it is possible when a teacher has a solid knowledge. The holistic diagnosis fulfils three fundamental functions: recognition, explanation and optimisation, that contributes to appropriate organising of the educational process, and it also determines efficacy and effectiveness of the undertaken work.
