Streszczenie
The article summarises narratives concerning the murder of Fātik, an early 11th-century Armenian ruler of Aleppo, and comments upon them. The sources include works of Al-Anṭākī, Kamāl al-Dīn (Ibn al-ʿAdīm), Al-Maqrīzī, and others. The course of events, the killer, and his alleged instigators, as well as their relations, and the outcome of the murder (reign of Badr and restoration of direct Fatimid rule) are discussed. Including a polemic with S.B. Dadoyan’s claim that the Badr in question is Badr al-Ǧamālī.
