Erinnerungen an Begegnungen mit Germanisten aus den Ostblockstaaten während der kommunistischen Zeit

Abstract

Der Autor hatte schon während seiner Marburger Zeit ab 1962 germanistische Sprachwissenschaftler(innen) aus den kommunistischen Oststaaten kennengelernt und baute diese Beziehungen nach seiner Berufung als Ordinarius an die Universität Wien 1971/72 aus. So kam es seit 1973 zu Kontakten besonders zur Kollegenschaft von je 5 Universitäten und Institutionen in Polen und in der DDR. Beschrieben werden die subjektiven Eindrücke und Erfahrungen bei Tagungen und als einzelne Begegnungen bei Einladungen zu Gastvorträgen. Dabei erwies sich die Situation in Polen anders als in der DDR.

The author of the article established contacts with German linguists originating from the communist countries of Eastern Europe when he stayed in Marburg (since 1962). He developed those contacts following his appointment, in 1971/72, for the position of the chairman of the faculty at Vienna University. Since 1973, he made contacts with colleagues from five universities and institutions in Poland and five in the GDR. The article presents subjective observations and experiences of the author from joint conferences and meetings during his guest lectures. The situation in Poland, according to the author, was different than the situation prevailing in the GDR.

Autor artykułu nawiązał kontakty z językoznawcami niemieckimi pochodzącymi z państw komunistycznych Europy Wschodniej już podczas swego pobytu w Marburgu (od roku 1962). Kontakty te rozszerzył po powołaniu go w roku 1971/72 na stanowisko kierownika katedry na Uniwersytecie Wiedeńskim. Od roku 1973 nawiązane zostały koleżeńskie kontakty z pięcioma uniwersytetami i instytucjami w Polsce oraz pięcioma w NRD. Artykuł przedstawia subiektywne spostrzeżenia i doświadczenia autora ze wspólnych konferencji oraz spotkań podczas gościnnych wykładów. Sytuacja w Polsce, stwierdza autor, była inna niż sytuacja panująca w NRD.
