Działalność wystawiennicza Biblioteki Uniwersytetu Łódzkiego w latach 2006-2016 jako forma popularyzacji wiedzy

Abstract

Arranging of exhibitions is an important part of activity in The Library of Lodz University, scientific and public institution. In the article the exhibitions organized in this Library in the years 2006-2016 (since opening of its new building in October 2006 until 2016) have been described. The variety of issues was worthy of notice. The exhibitions prepared both by The Scientific Information Department of The Library, and those that were the result of cooperation with faculties of The University of Lodz, various local institutions and with foreign centers, such as embassies, were presented in the article. Among the exhibitions, there were dedicated to deserved persons or important events. There were also exhibitions pointing individual scientific and artistic achievements of people employed in The Library of Lodz University or in The University of Lodz. The exhibitions arranged periodically, seminars and conferences connected with them, were also described.
