Problem przeobrażenia wsi Królestwa Polskiego w świetle programu społecznego „Prawdy” (1881-1887)

Abstract

This article presents journalists opinions of „Prawda” magazine on peasants matter in the Congress Kingdom of Poland in years 1881-1887. Analysing articles and columns of this magazine, it can be concluded that journalists were only interested in some questions. Especially there were articles, which propagated parcelling out of great estate, increasing education and culture level and granting civil rights to peasants. The essence of these articles was under the influence of „Prawda” social programme, which was realized. The main purpose of this programme was securing suitable living conditions for every inhabitant of Polish lands, regardless of the social origin and the place in social structure. Journalists were going to realize this purpose by propagation country changes programme in the Congress Kingdom of Poland, in the first place basing on the following rules: - democratization of social and agrarian relations, - national solidarism, - evolutional progress.
