<description>Filmy aktorskie o przygodach Asteriksa i Obeliksa jako przejaw obecności antyku we współczesnej kulturze audiowizualnej
Stawiski, Maciej
The films with actors about the adventures of Asterix and Obelix are an important part&#13;
of the contemporary popular culture. The plot of these film is located in antiquity therefore ancient&#13;
motives are common in them. It is very important to check if these motives are showed in the way&#13;
which is consistent with historical truth. And it is very important to know how big their influence&#13;
on popular perception on antiquity is. This article is a first step to answer these questions. It shows&#13;
that some motives are showed correctly but some are presented incorrectly. It suggests also that some&#13;
people may see druids through the prism of these films.

<title>Rzeczywiste czy wyobrażone? Uszkodzenia, ubytki, deformacje posągów antycznych inspiracją dla multimedialnych działań wybranych artystów współczesnych</title>

<description>Rzeczywiste czy wyobrażone? Uszkodzenia, ubytki, deformacje posągów antycznych inspiracją dla multimedialnych działań wybranych artystów współczesnych
Pawełczyk, Dominika
In this article I would like to show the potential of the destroyed ancient sculptures and therefore&#13;
to explore a variety of new themes and issues that may be generated through re-using the motives&#13;
by the artists. I was especially interested in creators, who undertook a multimedial game with traditional&#13;
sculpture representations, using the potential of performance art, photography, digital image&#13;
processing and computer photomontage.&#13;
Mary Duffy by her performative actions showed that the deformed body of the ancient sculpture&#13;
forms also her everyday reality. The damaged statue of “Venus de Milo” has become a useful&#13;
inspiration for stories about disability and discrimination.&#13;
Maciej Osika chose the path of fantasy and aesthetisation of the damages. Graphic processed&#13;
assemblies allowed him to tell us about the perfection of the human body, while Davide Bedoni&#13;
decided to show that the sculptures can describe the infinite myth of harmony, which defects will be&#13;
complemented by the portraits of contemporary icons of beauty.&#13;
The technique of exploring the audience has been chosen by French artist Diane Ducruet&#13;
by showing “Passengers” to the viewers. The artist used the facial photographs of her loved ones&#13;
through which fragments of well known, damaged Louvre sculptures are barely noticeable. Ducruet&#13;
talks about the elusiveness of life by those damaged portraits. Likewise all the artists mentioned&#13;
above she also blurs the boundaries between what is real and what is imaginary.

<title>Medialna rzeczywistość w „Truman Show” (1998) Petera Weira w perspektywie myśli gnostyckiej</title>

<description>Medialna rzeczywistość w „Truman Show” (1998) Petera Weira w perspektywie myśli gnostyckiej
Kwiatkowski, Fryderyk
In the author’s opinion the story depicted in "The Truman Show" (1998) by Peter Weir comprises&#13;
a reinterpretation of a Gnostic myth about the liberation of a „divine spark” from the material world.&#13;
In spite of the fact that the director did not know about Gnosticism before he started to make the film,&#13;
the author of the article presents that many motifs in his work can be viewed through the ideas expressed&#13;
in various Gnostic systems. The Gnostic notions were reinterpreted in "The Truman Show" on a fundamental&#13;
level of the world being presented in as well as in the narrative structure of the movie.

<title>Kairos a fotografia</title>
<link>http://hdl.handle.net/11089/18385</link>
<description>Kairos a fotografia
Kłosek, Sebastian
Problem of time was widely discussed in Greek antiquity. Numerous definitions of time indicate&#13;
that the phenomenon was not clear to the ancient people. Kairos was among of them. It described&#13;
the unique moment, which was bringing to a halt normal course of time and allowed a change&#13;
to happen. And nowadays, Kairos is still considered as faint moment that if not captured, disappears&#13;
irretrievably. This paper analyzes the connection between Kairos and the contemporary art medium&#13;
– photography, which main idea is to catch and hold the very special moments.
