This publication aims to familiarize Polish Language teachers with various issues connected&#13;
with the Theatrical Education in Schools.&#13;
Part 1 is an attempt to define the set role of a School Theatre Supervisor (what should&#13;
be emphasized here is that the teacher’s knowledge of the subject, set designing skill, and also acting and directing skill and his/her knowledge of the pupil’s psyche at different stages&#13;
in the development of an young man).&#13;
Part 2 deals with the Theatrical Education as a part of Polish language lessons, set in&#13;
the early 21st century Polish reality (extracts from interesting theatre lessons, dramatic elements&#13;
in the lesson, activities in the theatre lessons and theatre-journalism classes).&#13;
Part 3 is a proposition of how to organize work in the school drama theatre (a suggestion&#13;
on practice and methodology exposing various advantages gained through the school theatre&#13;
activities).

Henryk Kurczab is a literature specialist, educator, lecturer and professor of Rzeszów&#13;
Univertsity as well as Rzeszów College of Pedagogics. His book is a plenteous source of&#13;
knowledge concerning dialogue, translatability and interaction of arts in the sense of semiotic&#13;
‘meaning’ and ‘sign’.&#13;
The subject matter chosen by the author, i.e. arts correspondence, its own exemplification&#13;
as well as interpretations, distinguish his work by individaulizing cognitive values.

Die im Artikel gefassten Erwägungen nehmen als Ausgangspunkt neue Erscheinungen auf.&#13;
Sie beziehen sich sowohl auf die traditionelle Kultur als auch auf die riesige Entwicklung der&#13;
Kommunikationsmittel. Dieses Phänomen soll man in Sicht der in Massenmedien bestehenden&#13;
Stilistik untersuchen und bei Betrachtung des kommunikativen Erfolgs aufiassen wie folgt:&#13;
Erwerb der Zuschauer, klare Ansprache, attraktive Übermittlung - der Empfänger d a rf nicht&#13;
vom kommunikativen Prozess ausgeschlossen sein. Die grösste Aufmerksamkeit widmet man&#13;
dem Fernsehen, in erster Linie aber dem Zureden durch Vermittlungsmittel im Fernsehen.&#13;
Diese Präsentation ist jedoch systemlos, nicht ganzheitlich und unzureichend. Es stellt sich die&#13;
Erscheinung des Zuredens im polnischen Fernsehen ein, die die Konkurenz der Fernsehender&#13;
cinbeziehl. Die Stationen kämpfen um den Empfänger im allgemeiner, aber auch streben nach&#13;
dem Gewinn der Zuschauer, betreffs des gegebenen Fernsehsenders. Das Phänomen wird auf&#13;
die typischen Einzelfälle beschränkt. Es geht vor allem um Eindringlichkeit der Werbung oder&#13;
den persnasiv unterhaltenden Charakter der Programme z.B. Relity shov, Femschquiz, sitcom.

Franciszek Próchnicki belongs to the outstanding representatives of grammar school Polish&#13;
studies during the last quaretr of a century after the partition of the country. He was born&#13;
in 1847 at Brzeżany in Eastem-Galicia, after graduation from the Lvov University in 1873&#13;
he became a Secondary-School-teacher, at first at his home townand later at Lvov, where he&#13;
acted as headmaster of the Secondary School Nr. V froml891 till to 1905 when he went. Franciszek Próchnicki was also a member of the Higher-School-Teachers’Society, which held&#13;
over teachers from popular and Secondary Schools, founded lending libraries for young&#13;
people, determined on teaching schedules and attached the highest importance to programs for&#13;
the Polish language.&#13;
He was known as author of a number of instructions for Polish-language for Secondary&#13;
School of the former Galicia, especially the Guide for Polish Language Studies (1885) was&#13;
the base for all programs of this subject untill 1918.&#13;
As a didactician of literature Próchnicki set induction based on a wellfoundcd knowlage&#13;
of literary texts. It was very important opinion. He took sides against the generally adopted&#13;
acroamatic methods conected with Herbart’s views of education. This progressive yeacher&#13;
confirmed that learning by heart was a process leading to uncreative attitiude towards,&#13;
precluding individual things.&#13;
In the history of Polish language studies during the partion of poland Próchnicki renderd&#13;
a great service by making capital of any oportunity which might to Galicia in order to set&#13;
Polish science on the national track.&#13;
All his life Próchnicki devoted to teacher’s occupation.&#13;
He died at Lvov in 1911.
