<title>Moralność a rynek. Propozycja nowej definicji rynku</title>
<link>http://hdl.handle.net/11089/5682</link>
<description>Moralność a rynek. Propozycja nowej definicji rynku
Rogowski, Robert
The article presents an analysis of the relationship between market as a social and economic sphere and morality as a fundamental aspect of human deeds. It discusses the nature of the market, with a special focus on a person as a main precondition for the existence of the market. The result of the analysis is a pro-posal for a new definition of the market: the market consists in the decisions and actions of persons concerning what product to buy or sell, at what price, where and when.

<title>Pojęcie lichwy w ekonomii islamskiej</title>
<link>http://hdl.handle.net/11089/5680</link>
<description>Pojęcie lichwy w ekonomii islamskiej
Bukowski, Adam
The concept of Islamic economics as a coherent economic and financial system basically does not exist. Some authors take it, however, for simplicity, under-standing by this description any entities and legal regulations, mainly in the financial markets, driven – either declaratively or in fact – on the principles derived from religious precepts of Islam. The emphasis is put on so-called inter-est-free banking, which involves the concept of usury (riba).&#13;
By referring to the essence of Islamic economics, the author shows the dif-ferences and similarities between "interest-free" Islamic banking and conven-tional banking (Western-style). It turns out that the differences are almost exclu-sively at the level of declarations and similarities that arise from attempts to circumvent religious regulations, as in the riba, are much more numerous than it might seem. They result from the need to fuse Islamic finances with global fi-nancial markets, which at least at the point of contact eliminates the capability of maintaining the autonomy of the local banking system. In addition, interest-free Islamic banking development meets an obstacle in the shape of the market pres-ence of conventional banks, which are its natural ideological competition. Thus, although the Islamic Development Bank estimates the size of the market of the Islamic system of financial services in 2015 at between 2 to 8 trillion dollars, one seems to be entitled to conclude that, in practice, between Islamic economics and capitalist economies of the West, at least in terms of banking services, the dif-ferences are purely semantic, and both Western and Islamic deposit, credit and investment products are in fact identical.

<description>Wyzysk w perspektywie sprawiedliwości
Stoiński, Andrzej
The paper refers to selected problems of exploitation in the face of justice. The analysis is based on the definitions of exploitation contained in the Polish Penal and Civil Codes. The main subject of our interest is the identification of the necessary and sufficient conditions for the recognition of exploitation as being unjust. Supplementary question will refer to a specific type of justice which should be considered in this case. In respect to this we should consider retributive, distributive and social justice. Another important factor in this regard is the accepted theory of value. In the considered subject we will focus on the labour theory of value. The principal problem could be reduced to questions whether the exploitation is ipso facto unjust and how these two phenomena are related to each other.

<description>Prekarianizm w Polsce – skala zjawiska,  skutki i perspektywy
Jarecki, Wojciech
The precariat is a notion and a phenomenon that has drawn special attention of economists since the turn of 20th and 21st centuries. The article is based on the assumption that the precariat involves unwanted and long-term insecurity and uncertainty, a highly changeable situation on the labour market and many other negative consequences.&#13;
The paper advances the thesis according to which the phenomenon in ques-tion will escalate and be experienced by a growing number of people who have reached pre-retirement age and are no longer mobile in occupational terms. The article is aimed at presenting reasons of possible growth of the problem under discussion, as well as the consequences faced by people who deal with it. Last but not least, potential ways of fighting precarity will be discussed. &#13;
The analysis will be based on the literature on the subject, data derived from Central Statistical Office of Poland (GUS) and Eurostat, as well as research con-ducted by the author.
