dc.contributor.authorBiographicalnoteMałgorzata Dąbrowska is a medievalist and Byzantinist. She has been employed at the University of Łódź since 1978. She taught for three years at Rice University, Houston, and spent a semester at the University of Warsaw as Visiting Professor (2013/2014). In 2015 she was invited to join the scholarly board of the Institute of History in the Polish Academy of Sciences. She has published two monographs, ‘Byzantium, France and the Holy See in the Second Half of the 13th Century’, Lodz 1986, and ‘The Latin Ladies on the Bosporos. Byzantine-Latin Marriages in the Imperial Family of the Palaiologoi (13th-15th Centuries)’, Lodz 1996. She edited ‘The Voice of Byzantium. Byzantium and Slavs’ (a textbook for students) at Rice University, 2008; she also edited ‘Oscar Halecki and his Vision of Europe’, vol. I-III, Warsaw-Lodz 2012-2014; her most recent publication is a collection of articles ‘The Other Eye of Europe. Byzantium in the Middle Ages’, Wroclaw 2015.pl_PL
