Funkcja turystyczna polskich skansenów
Abstract
In different regions of Poland the museal exhibition is the only source of the knowledge about the past and traditions of rural culture. Every year, according to the process of declining of the traditional folk culture, the attractiveness of the museums under the open sky still arises. Specific character of such a museum (open exhibition, great area, greens, etc.) gives new possibilities. Some new trends in tourism (e.g. agrotourism, qualified tourism) change the offers of museums under the open sky. Museum as a recreation place, as object placed on historical or ethnographical tourists route, as a center which consolidates local community or a place for a cultivation of regional tradition could create a new perspectives.
In the second part of the text the author gives a short characteristic of touristic movement in Upper Silesian Ethnographic Park in Chorzów (Górnośląski Park Etnograficzny w Chorzowie) and the Museum in Kluki (Muzeum Wsi Słowińskiej w Klukach).
